I have been comparing Deep Summer with Soft Winter for a few evenings in ordinary daylight. The charts look clear until I hold similar fabrics near my face. For consistency, I used the same window light on two separate days. I also left out makeup, jewellery, and patterned clothing for the test. The darker samples added definition, but some also made ordinary shadows look heavier. Muted blue and berry shades seemed easier, though I am unsure whether that is familiarity. My checklist records contrast, visible texture, and whether my eyes look clearer. An organised color analysis might help me test the same questions again under consistent conditions. I do not expect a quiz to replace a trained consultation or good lighting. How have you checked whether depth or softness is doing more of the work? Advice that does not depend on perfect sunshine would be especially helpful. For now, I would rather improve the comparison than choose a category too quickly. I plan to revisit the fabrics before making any lasting colour decisions. I would be grateful for any experience-based suggestions.
